Libsyncml error when syncing w580i using msynctool with plugins

I have set up msynctool with libsyncml, libopensync, syncml-obex-client, and google-calendar plugins. Upon attempting to sync I receive the error 

The sync failed: At least one object engine failed while getting changes. Aborting
$builddir/libsyncml/libsyncml/sml_session.c:1524:E:smlSessionEnd: Assertion "session" failed

libsyncml has been built from svn. All others are 0.36. I'm trying to sync to my phone which is a Sony Ericsson w580i.
